"So, I shall teach you how to manipulate your Ki," Kemi said calmly, in a very serious and techer-esque tone. "Mastering this basic gives you access to Ki Beams, Energy Waves, How to Fly... You could even get to the level of being able to blow up entire planets." Making a motion with his head to look at his hands, the Namekian cupped his hands together so that there was a small gap in between them, it was obvious that it was going to be the spectacle of the show; it was where he would focus his energy.

"First thing you must do is to get yourself completely calm..." Relaxing more, he started to breath a little more heavily. "Then you listen to the centre of your body, until you can feel a pull... And then, you just bring it out." With his final sentence, a small glowing orb appeared in the space left between the man's hands. "Simple really. But this is the basis for all techniques, so it's vital you grasp this to its fullest." Standing up, the orb between his hands vanished completely, and the green man looked down upon the man.

"Your turn."

Kvothe watched, he was mesmerized, and he couldn't hide it either. Where as the other Ki blast that Kemi had fired at him was fast, it was also less...Natural, plus with adrenaline pumping through him he didn't really pay any attention to what it looked like, just that he could get out of the way quickly. "Ok..." He said as he cupped his hands, leaving a small gap just as he had seen Kemi do.

"First thing is get completely calm..." He repeated the instructions as he went through them. He relaxed as much as he could, and then continued on to the next step. "listen to the center of my body..." Again he relaxed and listened, blanking everything else around him out he concentrated only on himself. "Feel for a pull and the-" He felt it! or rather, he could feel, something. He tensed up and he felt the feeling slowly slipping away. Taking a deep breath he relaxed again, deep breaths, he thought.

Slowly the feeling returned, and slowly he began to bring the feeling out, he felt as if his body had grown warm, especially between his hands until he was almost positive he had a small ball of Ki in between his hands. Slowly he opened his eyes and looked down. There it was! He had done it, admittedly, it wasn't as big, or as nice looking as Kemi's had been, but he did it, he had made a Ki ball. Slowly he let it slip away before looking expectantly up at Kemi. "That was awesome!"

Kemi was impressed at Kvothe's quick learning skills; he hadn't expected the human to grasp it so quickly, let alone manage to pull out Ki from his body in only his first try. Maybe this guy was a natural. Well, that was a good thing; Kemi would rather teach an able student than one which would come out with nothing. "Excellent." He replied calmly. "Once you get that to the level that its natural, we shall move on... But for now, just try it until you think you're ready to go to the next level. However, please do not say it when you're not ready; because it will tear your body apart."

Sitting down, Kemi went into the lotus position and began to meditate, awaiting the Human to alert him when he was ready... Next came the Ki Blasts.

Kvothe nodded his head and began working on bringing out his Ki again, and again until he could do it fairly easily. The Ki he was now forming was a perfect ball, and it was large enough to stand up to the one Kemi created only moments ago. Eventually he could do it without even having to concentrate on it. It felt as if he could just think about it and it would appear, and sure enough, he could. "I think I'm ready..." He said, a hint of unsureness in his voice, but his facial features were set.

Finally, after a short while, Kemi heard the man state that he was ready; he didn't move originally due to the slightly eneasiness in the man's voice, but from the show he had given with his very first try, the Namekian trusted the Human, and so finally got to his feet and turned around. The man's face told a different story, however, and it seemed he was ready. "Very well." He turned around and pointed at a tree on the very edge of the field, which lead into a forest surrounding one end. After a small spark ignited, he deliberately took the measure of adding energy slower than normal, so the boy was able to see what he was doing.

"To make attacks stronger, you draw in more energy rather than that which you already created as a base... Hah!" After speaking, he let the Ki Blast loose from his hand, watching it fly at a speed, before exploding once hitting the tree, destroying it completely. He turned over his shoulder for a second, "Once you get stronger, Ki Blasts will be more natural, and the drawing in of energy will be as simple as creating the energy." Turning forwards again, he shot a Ki Blast with around the same power and speed into the forest again, but this time instantly.
